Rebecca was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta on April 16, 2019, as the MLA for Calgary-Shaw. She was sworn in as Minister of Environment and Protected Area in June 2023, previously serving as Minister of Municipal Affairs and Minister of Children’s Services.
A wife and proud mother of two young children, Schulz has seen first-hand the challenges that Alberta’s families have faced during a time of economic stagnation and decline under Rachel Notley’s NDP. A communications professional with a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University, Schulz is eager to advocate for the types of common-sense policies that will grow Alberta’s economy and encourage investment, so Alberta can continue to be the best place in the world to live, work and raise a family.
